By completing the registration process and/or purchasing a ticket, Participants expressly accept these T&C in their entirety. No deviating conditions of the Participant shall apply unless the Organiser has explicitly agreed to them in writing.

§ 3 Registration and Contract Formation

3.1 Registration Process Registration is exclusively carried out via the official registration form provided on the YFC website or authorised ticketing platforms. A binding contract is formed upon the Organiser's written confirmation of the registration (e.g. confirmation email or ticket issuance).

3.2 Eligibility Registration is open to individuals aged 16 years or older. Participants under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a legal guardian prior to the Event. The Organiser reserves the right to decline or cancel any registration at its sole discretion.

3.3 Accuracy of Information Participants are obliged to provide accurate and complete information during registration. Any changes to registration details must be communicated to the Organiser promptly in writing.

§ 4 Tickets and Admission

4.1 Ticket Types Various ticket categories may be offered (e.g. General Admission, Founder Pass, Investor Pass). The scope of services included in each category is described in the respective product description at the time of purchase.

4.2 Transferability Tickets are personal and non-transferable unless the Organiser expressly permits a transfer. Any unauthorised resale, in particular at a price exceeding face value, is prohibited and entitles the Organiser to void the respective ticket without compensation.

4.3 Admission Admission to the Event requires presentation of a valid ticket (digital or printed) together with a government-issued photo ID. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission or to remove any person from the premises in the event of:

  • presentation of an invalid, forged, or previously voided ticket;

  • behaviour that poses a risk to safety, order, or the wellbeing of other attendees;

  • non-compliance with these T&C or the venue regulations.

In such cases, no refund of the ticket price shall be granted.

§ 5 Prices, Payment, and Invoicing

5.1 Ticket Prices All prices are stated in euros (EUR) and, where applicable, include statutory German value-added tax (VAT) at the rate applicable at the time of purchase. The Organiser reserves the right to adjust prices at any time prior to a booking being finalised.

5.2 Payment Payment is due immediately upon registration, unless a different payment method or timeline is expressly confirmed in writing. The Organiser accepts the payment methods listed on the registration platform. In the event of a failed or reversed payment, the registration may be cancelled without further notice.

5.3 Invoicing Invoices are issued electronically. Participants requiring a VAT invoice for business purposes must provide the necessary billing details (including a valid VAT identification number where applicable) at the time of registration.

§ 6 Cancellation, Withdrawal, and Refund Policy

6.1 Statutory Right of Withdrawal In accordance with §§ 312g, 355 BGB, consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of contract formation for contracts concluded via electronic means, unless an exception applies. Notwithstanding this, Participants acknowledge that event admission services may fall under the exception pursuant to § 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB once confirmed. In any event, the statutory right of withdrawal shall not be affected where legally mandated.

6.2 Voluntary Cancellation by Participant The following cancellation policy applies beyond any statutory rights:

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before the Event: full refund of the ticket price.

  • Cancellation 15–30 days before the Event: 50% of the ticket price will be refunded.

  • Cancellation fewer than 15 days before the Event: no refund; however, the ticket may be transferred to another eligible person upon written notification to the Organiser.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Organiser's official contact address.

6.3 Cancellation by the Organiser Should the Organiser cancel the Event due to circumstances beyond its control (force majeure), including but not limited to pandemic-related governmental orders, natural disasters, or venue unavailability, Participants will receive a full refund of the ticket price. The Organiser shall not be liable for any further losses, including travel and accommodation expenses.

6.4 Postponement In the event of a postponement, existing tickets shall remain valid for the rescheduled date. Participants who cannot attend the new date may request a full refund within 14 days of the announcement of the postponement.

§ 7 Event Programme and Content

The Organiser reserves the right to modify the programme, including speakers, session topics, and scheduling, at any time and without prior notice. Such modifications do not entitle Participants to a refund or any other form of compensation. The Organiser makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or commercial suitability of any content presented at the Event.

§ 8 Code of Conduct

All Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner throughout the Event. The following behaviour is strictly prohibited:

  • harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind, including on the basis of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, or sexual orientation;

  • recording, photographing, or livestreaming speakers or sessions without prior written consent of the Organiser and the individual(s) concerned;

  • distribution of unsolicited promotional materials or solicitation of other Participants without prior approval by the Organiser;

  • conduct that disrupts the orderly conduct of the Event or endangers other Participants.

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate removal from the Event without refund and, where warranted, legal action.

§ 9 Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Event materials, presentations, branding, and content created by or for the Organiser remain the exclusive property of the Organiser or the respective rights holders. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or publicly communicate any Event content without prior written consent.

Where Participants make presentations or share materials at the Event, they grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use such materials for documentation, marketing, and promotional purposes, including post-Event publications. Participants warrant that they hold the necessary rights to grant this licence.

§ 10 Photography, Film, and Media Coverage

By attending the Event, Participants acknowledge and consent that photographic and video recordings may be made during the Event by the Organiser or authorised third parties. Such recordings may be used for press, marketing, and documentation purposes without separate remuneration.

Participants who do not wish to be included in any recordings are requested to notify the accreditation desk upon arrival. The Organiser will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, subject to the practicability of doing so in a live event environment.

Any processing of personal data through recordings is carried out in accordance with § 13 (Data Protection) of these T&C and the Organiser's Privacy Policy.

§ 11 Liability

11.1 Limitation of Liability The Organiser's liability for damages arising from slight negligence is excluded, unless such damages concern injury to life, body, or health, or unless essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) are breached. In the latter case, liability shall be limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages. The above limitation also applies to the personal liability of the Organiser's legal representatives, employees, and agents.

11.2 Personal Belongings The Organiser accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to Participants' personal belongings. Participants are responsible for taking appropriate care of their property during the Event.

11.3 Third-Party Services The Organiser accepts no liability for the acts or omissions of third parties engaged in connection with the Event (e.g. caterers, venue operators, transport providers). Participants must direct any claims arising from third-party services directly to the relevant provider.

§ 12 Venue Regulations

Participants must comply with all applicable venue regulations, including fire safety instructions, access restrictions, and any requirements imposed by public authorities. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. Any damage caused to the venue or its equipment by a Participant will be charged to that Participant.

§ 13 Data Protection

The Organiser processes Participants' personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG). The legal basis for processing is primarily Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract performance) and, where applicable, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).

Participants' data will be used exclusively for the purposes of organising and conducting the Event, including:

  • registration and ticketing management;

  • communication regarding the Event;

  • post-Event follow-up and, where consent has been given, marketing communications.

Data will not be sold or transferred to third parties except as required for the provision of Event-related services (e.g. ticketing platform providers, venue operators). Participants have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of their personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

A full Privacy Policy is available at the Organiser's website and will be provided to Participants at the time of registration.

§ 14 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These T&C are governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of or in connection with these T&C is Berlin, Germany, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

For disputes with consumers resident in the European Union, the possibility of alternative dispute resolution under the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) is noted. The Organiser is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

§ 15 Severability

Should any provision of these T&C be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the economic intent of the original provision.

§ 16 Amendments

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these T&C at any time. Registered Participants will be notified of material changes by email. Amendments made after a binding booking has been confirmed shall only apply with the Participant's explicit consent.
